Venues usually have a number of tickets sold to declare a sell out. There's definitely still tickets available for tomorrow and Sunday
Whuuuuuuuuu?!?!

Note: I am not doubting you, but this does seem totally insane.

How were FP1 and 2 today? Worth me watching replays or stick to the highlights?

You'll be fine with the highlights as they were both uneventful.

I don't know as I only turned over as he walked up but I thought it was adorable when they said it was cold and Lewis did his coat up for him !

Can they talk about Austria and the Max and Lando incident anymore?
The racing is so utterly dull, of course they will talk about something to bring more to it!

This is the problem with a 24/7 F1 channel. They have to talk about something even when there's nothing to talk about.

I've heard them at the Goodwood FoS and always think they sound pretty good.
Really?

Every time I have seen live F1 since 2014 (I will be there tomorrow) I've come away very disappointed by just how underwhelming they sound.
Ha, yes honestly, they've got a lot complexity about them, plus as they're not ear splitting you can appreciate it a bit more.
Dont get me wrong, the V10 era (for me) is the best, those things just sound dangerous, but the V8s were just a high pitched shriek.

I suppose thats the beauty of the FoS, you can get so close to so many different types of cars, it's great to be able to compare them.
Plus excuse to share Hiedfeld taking the McLaren MP4/13 up the hill:

I remember being on the startline at the FOS when Eddie Irvine launched the previous years Ferrari up the road.
Apart from a Top Fuel dragster, it's the most visceral, violent and ear splitting thing I've ever witnessed.

Am there for 4 days next week. Love the FOS. As for the this race I think Lando will take some beating.

Feel sorry for those camping if they were part of the same epic rain and thunderstorm that woke me up at 3am this morning.

That woke me too! Massive storm, I’m heading over in about an hour so will see the carnage then. Raining again now so the car parks will be fun today.

Hell yeah!

F1 have invested millions in trackside audio to try and make the current-gen cars sound good on TV.

Meanwhile, have a rare example of Lewis dropping the PR face and telling it like it is, when being interviewed as an old V10 runs around the track. From 2020.

Rain incoming, unless it's already arrived. We're 25 minutes due South of the circuit and it's raining enough here!!

It’s been raining consistently since the thunderstorm in the early hours.
It’s properly wet and looks set in for most of the day. Lots of very damp people around. The local fields are starting to puddle up nicely. Should make car parking fun later on.

I’m currently sat on a plane at London Gatwick that’s grounded due to thunderstorms. Hopefully be at my place on the Algarve in time for qualifying this afternoon!

Looks set to be a damp one.
