More likely his employee/employer relationship kept him (and others) from speaking his mind. Sky and their staff paid for by the F1 eco-system aren't usually quick to bite the hand that feeds them.
Yes, the one I do recall being honest was Mr no longer with Sky F1 but still a Steward...............

Yes, sadly there were very few who were prepared to openly call out F1 and the FIA for that debacle. I can only suspect that those with media credentials were told in no uncertain terms what they couldn’t say. But if anyone in the media centre had the clout to call them out, it was Brundle.
Ted called the bullst out and was cancelled by Sky, only to be reinstated after the fans gave Sky a load of st over it.
Ted is the only one on Sky who continues to call out Red Bull and their Bullst, he is a good journalist under the often rambling façade.

Indeed. I was referring to current staff.

I thought it was serious enough to have a think about a DSQ. That would have been a worthy punishment for the impact it had on Norris and the race as a whole.
Schumacher and Villeneuve collide at Jerez. Villeneuve went on to win the race.
Schumacher was DQ'd from the 1997 season for "causing a collision".

Hamilton punts Max into the wall at Silverstone, ending Max's race. (50G impact apparently)
Hamilton receives a 5 second penalty for "causing a collision".

FIA seems perfectly consistent biggrin
You forgot to mention that the stewards decided Max was also at fault. I’m sure this was just an oversight and no doubt you will post a correction??

Appears there were 2 good reasons for Hamilton's lack of performance - side pod and floor both look secondhand.

It was damaged on a kerb when he went off-circuit it seems, so self-inflicted.
I thought both were the T1 incident with Sainz ? He certainly bounced across the sausage type kerb there.
Left no space by Sainz so not sure how it was self inflicted which makes it even more strange that Mercedes made him give the place back.
Agree, it was a typical first corner racing incident. No idea why Mercedes told him to give the place back but it clearly stopped him from getting past George and likely cost him the win.

I know we shouldn’t be surprised, since Horner has consistently demonstrated that he has no shame, but I still find it remarkable he can say this sort of st with a straight face.
Nots sure what more you would expect when on the face of the publicly available information he is the sort of man who threatens junior employees that unless they engage in sex acts with him they will loose their jobs.

I don’t really understand why anyone would fervently support Max.

He’s an utterly spoiled rich boy, who has been indulged his whole life, a male Verucca Salt.

When his dad was beating seven shades of st out of Max’s mother rather than taking her side and turning his back on the violent thug he chose instead to side with Jos.

What sort of person chooses to cheer him on?
I certainly don't - I've never liked him!

How anyone can say he left Lando room when he ran off the track himself defies belief. Still George Russell won't mind and I was pleased for him to get his first win.

It seems to me Max has the same sort of arrogance Senna and Schumacher had - they'd rather crash than let anyone past. frown

Still Silverstone looks like it might be exciting. Max and Lewis on the front row again could be fun. laugh

Ahh yes, I remember that race in 22'. It was one where the main media story was about how Max pleaded for the team to order Checo to let him pass so he could 'have a go' at passing Alonso. He was let past, it turned out he was no faster and couldn't pass Alonso, so the team asked him to switch back to allow Checo his rightful place and a leg up in the championship.

He said no and demanded on the radio that he never be asked to do such a thing ever again...

Bloody good chap Max, salt of the earth!

George has yet to take a win that wasn't overshadowed by something Max did! Maybe it will be this weekend? Although I seriously doubt it, even if he does win.

Russell has managed to gain 9% more of the votes since the race has ended in the poll, so might be able to win there eventually?

Mercedes race debrief. A very happy James Allison wearing the race winner t-shirt.
