Yes, sadly there were very few who were prepared to openly call out F1 and the FIA for that debacle. I can only suspect that those with media credentials were told in no uncertain terms what they couldn’t say. But if anyone in the media centre had the clout to call them out, it was Brundle.

Ted called the bullst out and was cancelled by Sky, only to be reinstated after the fans gave Sky a load of st over it.
Ted is the only one on Sky who continues to call out Red Bull and their Bullst, he is a good journalist under the often rambling façade.

FIA seems perfectly consistent

You forgot to mention that the stewards decided Max was also at fault. I’m sure this was just an oversight and no doubt you will post a correction??

Left no space by Sainz so not sure how it was self inflicted which makes it even more strange that Mercedes made him give the place back.

Agree, it was a typical first corner racing incident. No idea why Mercedes told him to give the place back but it clearly stopped him from getting past George and likely cost him the win.

How anyone can say he left Lando room when he ran off the track himself defies belief. Still George Russell won't mind and I was pleased for him to get his first win.

It seems to me Max has the same sort of arrogance Senna and Schumacher had - they'd rather crash than let anyone past.

Still Silverstone looks like it might be exciting. Max and Lewis on the front row again could be fun.

Ahh yes, I remember that race in 22'. It was one where the main media story was about how Max pleaded for the team to order Checo to let him pass so he could 'have a go' at passing Alonso. He was let past, it turned out he was no faster and couldn't pass Alonso, so the team asked him to switch back to allow Checo his rightful place and a leg up in the championship.

He said no and demanded on the radio that he never be asked to do such a thing ever again...

Bloody good chap Max, salt of the earth!


George has yet to take a win that wasn't overshadowed by something Max did! Maybe it will be this weekend? Although I seriously doubt it, even if he does win.

Russell has managed to gain 9% more of the votes since the race has ended in the poll, so might be able to win there eventually?
