Gasly is an acerbic poisonous st, in the Sky interview he said " now we've sorted the problems over the last few months"
I'm going to need some context here, please. The car began life as a snail and is now knocking around the lower-points positions. To improve they must have sorted some problems. The season is a few months old. What am I missing?ajprice said:
Probably both anyway he’s not the one that repeatedly causes. Accidents with his team mates as per Mr Ocon who is definitely fast but also a liability to the team when completing closely with teammates.Edited by rallycross on Friday 28th June 14:04

Politically an American team taking Chinese sponsorship wouldn't go down well
Yes ... Gene is well known for being very careful who he takes sponsorship money off of.It was such careful vetting that led to both William Storey and Uralkali sponsoring the team at various times in the past. Based on their past actions, I think if the money was there being Chinese would not be a barrier.

With the current situation of the US government dishing out embargoes I doubt Haas would risk damaging his core business
I was going to suggest the same. Muzzer79 said:

Bearman has already proven he's got the goods in the Ferrari earlier this year.
Being objective, Bearman proved in Jeddah that he had a level head and could produce a solid drive with little prep and no mistakes. He is highly rated in terms of temperament and feedback. He also appears to be better at driving an F1 car than an F2 car (not a criticism, he said this himself)
But as we saw with Nyck De Vries, one swallow does not make a summer.

He simply cannot play nicely with team mates, which makes you an undesirable prospect. I suspect he would have got the Merc seat if he wasn’t such a clown.

Williams reopening talks with other drivers...
Is Sainz going to end up without a seat when the music stops?
I do feel for Carlos. He’s not been clearly shadowed by his teammate. Without Hamilton’s wildcard move, he’d be sitting pretty. Is Sainz going to end up without a seat when the music stops?
That said, Vowles does seem to be pushing a rather Jason Bourne “do you commit to this programme?” agenda. Of course he’s hopeful for his Williams programme, but he must also be realistic that drivers will look at the progress so far and be just a touch circumspect.

+1 on the above. Sainz consistently doing a great job I expect him to go with a manufacturer team - maybe Audi and take next year off as their development driver? I see it as "There is an offer on the table that has been there since x date. We are offering a/b/c/d, etc. We need to know by Jun 30 if you are onboard or of we need to assess other options."PRO5T said:
I can see Carlos at Alpine for a 1+1 deal personally, him and Gasly can play nicely together and he's ready to make a jump if there's a silly season 2026.
If Williams have opened talks again I think this will be why. It seems Flavio is already doing some decent work if he can get a deal done with Sainz. Maybe Sainz should sign for Audi. They aren't going to be Audi until 2026, so that gives him a year to demand a Porsche seat at Le Mans and compete in the WEC. He can help with simulator work with Sauber and demand various clauses that allow him to sign elsewhere if the project appears to be going nowhere and the engine is st.
Oh, and at least 100US$M which can help Dad buy Alpine.
