Ten seconds penalties and a couple of points on a licence for putting someone out of the race is a joke .
Excluding from the race then a 3 race ban with no replacements should be the minimum penalty. Previous history of the same offence should double the penalty each time .
Having stewards with a backbone would also help.
Drivers only allowed in with the stewards for driving offences
Team principal only in with the stewards for non driver infringement.

Just caught up, what a race ending!!

I guess that answers the question of whether or not Lando can pass Max... No. Max simply will not allow it!

I'm not going to jump on the Max bashing on this occasion as I was definitely enjoying the battle - so I'd be criticising myself for enjoying the spectacle. What I will say is that Max will always drive like an aggressive st, he will never change when under pressure, so the only way to beat him is with an equal or superior car and make damn sure to outqualify him.

Trying to pass him on track will always be very risky - he'll make certain of it, and the stewards absolutely cannot be relied upon to be fair and consistent when he creates a stuation.

Stella should be sending Oscar and Lando out to practice taking the inside line when racing Max at Copse.

Albon must be so relieved not to be in RB recreating Silverstone 22 again at Horner's whim.

All the top drivers: the Mercedes, Ferraris and McLarens need to be as brave as Lando was today. Race Max like he races them.

If Max gets 5 or 6 races ruined with his rivals sharing the pain then someone else has a chance to be world champion But if they all play safe they all lose.

I can't believe the drivers and strategists haven't had a conversation about this.
True, but first they have to catch up with him.

Have been BBQing, but has anyone on telly land mentioned anything about Max trying multiple times to hit Llando after their contact?

Alex Brundle on f1tv saying he thinks max didn't know lando was on the outside.

Absolute clown.
That's not a credible position to hold, of course he knew where Lando was.

In comparison to what we've seen from Max it didn't look that bad to me, however as more cars become competitive more drivers are going to get a taste of how he drives and what Lewis had to put up with.

Pleased for George.

Hope Jos Verstappen remembers that this all started with a st pit stop.

If Horny and the team had done their job for Max today, he’d have walked away with the race and none of this would have happened.

Just watched Ant’s dissection of Max vs Lando - it was damning. Quite rightly so.

Basically what every impartial F1 fan has been saying about how Verstappen has been treated for the last four years... I can't even fault Verstappen for it because as long as it's not properly penalised, it works and ultimately his job is to win.
It's been like this since he was a child, the only difference between then and now is Jos doesn't have to punch anyone anymore.

MAD MAX IS BACK!

Horner takes another step towards total depravity by supporting his unsporting behaviour.

Lewis puts his arm round Lando and says “Welcome to my world”

Andrea Stella explains how F1 ended up like this, in the most composed manner imaginable. Good guy.

Mad max never left, it's just that nobody has close enough to poke him with a stick for a while!

Gotta smile at Lewis's sympathy. So far Lando has experienced nothing of Max! Perhaps by the end of the season he'll have the full experience: a car parked on his head, several visits to the barriers, accusations of attempted murder from Horny, race restart rules re-written just when he thought he had a title... whistle

No it’s not, he is ahead of lando in the points. He increased his lead today. If piastri was 3rd in the championship then lando could keep punting max off and let Oscar win the championship
There are other drivers who could pass him in the championship if he keeps driving like he did today and others don’t give way, leading to retirements.

Even just considering Norris, he knows that if he backs off then he cannot win this championship but if he holds firm there’s a small chance that he can.

I’d say for Norris, it’s not about this year but setting a precedent for future seasons where there may be more to fight for.

Yep, today should be a wake-up call to all the twenty-something drivers who think of Max as one of them, a friend, that he’s totally and utterly ruthless, will stop at absolutely nothing to win. They all need to tell him, on the track, that he’s no longer going to get away with it, as Lando did today.
