Lando should punch Max, it’s been coming.
idea and hopefully get no action from the stewards or the FIA. (I won’t hold my breath…)
it was a facing incident, max had been moving his head around unpredictably, Lando was just trying to stretch his arm, totally normal.

And I had thought Max had grown up since AD with some mega seasons of pure dominance. As Lance Corporal Jones used to say on Saturday evenings "they don't like it up 'em". Not exactly GOAT traits.

I agree with those who say this is Verstappen reverting to his old ways, but what’s different is that this time the driver he’s crashing into has less need to move out of the way, so it’s Verstappen whose title is at risk if he continues.
He’s crashing into his competitor. He can do it a lot of times more before others might overtake the two of them.

All the top drivers: the Mercedes, Ferraris and McLarens need to be as brave as Lando was today. Race Max like he races them.

If Max gets 5 or 6 races ruined with his rivals sharing the pain then someone else has a chance to be world champion But if they all play safe they all lose.

I can't believe the drivers and strategists haven't had a conversation about this.

Been watching a few laps behind it live.

Max really can’t race can he. Just proves he needs a massive car advantage or lenient stewarding.

Alex Brundle on f1tv saying he thinks max didn't know lando was on the outside.

Absolute clown.

The only way Max is going to learn is to get some of his own medicine on a regular basis. When he starts to lose points / victories maybe he will learn.
Pretty much this. Norris tbh needs to summon up the gumption to stand his ground- he has nothing to lose in championship terms this year as he’s way too far back and a podium or 2 or 3 has got to be worth setting out his stall to Verstappen and indeed anyone else that he isn’t a Leclerc who can always be relied on to back down.

Max reverting to type unfortunately. Real shame for Lando. The only positive thing about today was Lando was faster than Max, and Lando has got Max rattled.

Roll on Silverstone.

They gain if the other sides do this. Merc got a win today, instead of a 3rd place. Most of them are happy to let Max go ahead and win in the few times he is behind, because they want to do better this season. Not to mention you never know the future - if a team has ordered their drivers to not yield to Max they’re far less likely to be able to sign him in future, when they might want to. All teams know he is the best of his generation, they’ll always want to have the option to sign him if possible. Remember this is the one who held a grudge against Perez and cost his team a 1-2 in the champion as a result.

Ted mentioned Schumacher as an example of drivers being robust that Stella has worked with, I would have reminded Ted that Schumacher got disqualified from an entire season for one moment of robustness in 1997. Stella is 100% correct, past incidents have not been punished properly. 10s penalty today is laughable.

Horner is correct Lando did have enough space his tyres were always on the white line and he did not have to drive off track, until Max moved across and made contact.

Typical Max, can't race wheel to wheel and he will never be one of the true greats because of it.

Hats off to McLaren boss Andrea Stella, a brilliant explanation of why it happened.

Yep.

Christian Horner: Lando Norris had enough space | Andrea Stella: The whole world saw who was at fault!

They should just take turns to spear him into turn 1.

Racing incident mate, sorry.

Basically what every impartial F1 fan has been saying about how Verstappen has been treated for the last four years... I can't even fault Verstappen for it because as long as it's not properly penalised, it works and ultimately his job is to win.
