Nice to see Lewis back on the podium. Decent enough race considering no rain/SC etc.

I guess sadly the Red Bull still has quite a pace advantage in race trim.
Not with Perez driving it.
Perez was mighty by his own standards today, all the way up in 8th.

Real shame about Lando. Definitely had the pace on Max today. Some great overtakes too.

Merc won’t be that happy as they were well off the pace - 17 secs.

OK, so he phucked up the start (and said so himself) but I was still mightily impressed by Norris today. Whatever lingering doubts I've had of him he's showing himself / reaching his potential of becoming the real deal.

I usually don't buy team clobber (prefer to remain neutral) but am tempted to pick up McLaren top in TK Maxx! biggrin

The Sky post-race interview with Horner - Blatantly wasn't going to mention Sergio until reminded there are in fact two drivers in his team.

I picked up a McLaren team t-shirt for a massive £17 a few weeks back.

Hollister of all places have some quite cool classic McLaren (classic Williams too) merch. Good quality and nice fit, cheap too at £15 for some stuff.

Just finished the race, watching on time delay.

Well, that was a race that...... happened.

Despite being an avid F1 fan for something like 35 years, I find myself pretty much disengaged lately.

From lap 64….

Russell has done a poor job, after t1 l1 that is (maybe he put all his effort into that). Consider that he twice had the very favourable undercut/pitting earlier than his team mate (gaining about 3-4 seconds each time), and he’s still behind.
No no no the Hamilton haters have said lewis is past it, Russell is the future...

Red Bull sacrificed Perez on the altar of Max this race because of how penalty. He had to give max the tow in qualy

Am wearing this right now, my daughter bought it for me for father's day - can confirm the quality and fit comment smile

I watched from the beach on koufonisia:

(Smug face)

I really enjoyed the race! By catalunya standards it was great, and not forced excitement via SC etc.

Really good to see different drivers on the podium each week too!!!

I also wish to make a prediction, one that I may regret... LH will beat GR this season, even though he should not.

Bernie called the on-the-fly strategy for each of the leading teams nigh on perfectly.

She really knows her stuff. What an asset she is to the coverage.

Punchy interviews with Leclrec followed by Carlos.
Charles said that Carlos shouldn't have pulled that move, cost us some points today and 'when I show him the video later he will agree'.

Carlos response was 'Charles complains too much'. biggrin Love it.

Well Carlos is hardly likely to give two hoots about his team mate, he is fighting to get a job.........

Should be interesting to see how this unfolds as the season progresses with Carlos not giving a damn about CLC.

Max shows his quality again. Yes Lando mucked up the start but if your car only has a minuscule advantage over Max Verstappen’s you need to ace every single part of your race and Lando hasn’t the ability to do that.

Impressive driving from Verstappen recently. These kinds of wins mean so much more than the walk-in-the-park ones, although they earn the same amount of points, of course...

That RedBull is still head and shoulders above any other car on race pace.
