Ted said on Sky that two people from the FIA were with the car on the grid and stayed with it until it was in Parc Ferme.
After he got out, whatever way you look at it he broke a rule - he isn't the first and won't be the last. Its really not worth getting too upset about..

And for the moaners can you explain exactly what was wrong with the race ? lots of different strategies, plenty of overtakes, Romain coming from 17th to the podium, Massa ruining Mercedes day, Perez having a good run, Sutil the same. I thought it was one of the more interesting races of this year to be honest.

Same here, it wasn't obvious who was going to win until the half way point and Vettel had to work for it (early on at least).

I didn't think the camerawork was very good, a lot of Vettel's move through the field was missed for instance.

On the other side of the RBR PR, the image of Vettel bowing to the RB9 will be one of the most iconic images of F1 in recent times. 25,000 euros is cheap for the PR that'll generate for a generation.
Agreed. Great move by him. Nice interview afterwards as well with the BBC.

That was so boring and the endless talk about tyres is infuriating this year has been very poor due to red bull dominance and tyres made of jelly - it's not even worth watching ( I record them and fast forward to see if anything interesting happens).

What a load of rubbish simply not interested in tyre strategies or DRS assisted passes it's not racing it's not even entertains just a very expensive dull procession .

What procession? I didn't count but there was plenty of overtaking. DRS is a bit crap, I agree, but it has improved the racing. Fastest car and (one of the) best driver wins - isn't that how F1 has always been?

I realy dont see the big issue with F1 being boring. There is so much more going on the just the winner(well to me and some others here)

I find Golf, football and Cricket boring, so i dont watch it, simple, No?

Oh I agree. I love F1, and I actually love it more since I stopped being as tribal as I used to be (I followed MSC from his first race)

However I've been lucky enough in recent years to have some sponsor access and go pit side and meet a few of the drivers, engineers and team leaders.

I remain in awe of their skills, dedication and passion, and enjoy all races more, from the leader to the tail end.

I rate Vettel very highly - he is a modern Prost with hints of MSC
Hamilton makes compelling viewing when he is fired up - he can be untouchable
Never bet against Alonso (possibly at his peak), though I think Vettel is approaching his level of racecraft now
etc

All but mandatory if you win a NASCAR race. If you don't do it the fans are likely to lynch you hehe

Great too see Vettel win another title.

I think we are all witnessing one of the greatest drivers of all time. The sooner people realise this the quicker they can get over there judgement and just enjoy him for what he's doing.

There's not another driver on that grid that would have bee able to get close to Vettels stats given his car.

Fabulous stuff.
Very hard to warm to someone with the best car for a period - Schumi suffered this in the early 2000s - and nor does it helped that you have yet to be humbled for a season or so battling to be up against your peers.

A great victory for Vettel and well-deserved IMO. No one is close to him at the moment, title 4 in the bag.

Whatever the haters think, he's the best driver in the best car and it wouldn't surprise anyone if he wins all the remaining races this year. The rest have to do better.

Good to see him do the doughnuts at the end, worth every cent of the €25,000 fine!

Tell me, how many champions can you name who didn't have the best car?
Unless my memory is failing then Kimi would fall into this category.

His Ferrari was outclassed by the Mclaren in 2007 but because of the issues between Alonso & Hamilton together with a bit of shoddy strategy by the Mclaren team (China specifically) Kimi took the title.

Similarly James Hunt didn't have the best car in '76, but he was fortunate that Niki Lauda was out of contention for a while...

I guess the point is that often in the past the dominance of one team & driver was a bit more marginal, consider the season long battles between Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher for instance, or indeed the intra team battles between Senna and Prost, or even last year's battle between Vettel and Alonso, in those sorts of circumstance you can ignore the best car argument more easily when the contest is a close run thing.

All the best

Shame the British flag won't be shown on the podium.
Indeed and quite insulting to the people that work for the team. One reason I don't like RedBull.
