Not a classic, but a good strategic race with something always going on. Great to see Lewis on the podium, first time this season.

Field is definitely closing up.

I’m 15 mins behind, on lap 55 with a 5.5 second gap between Norris and Verstappen max

I reckon Norris is saving tire life to launch a full attack late on, the McLaren is relatively much faster later into the stint vs the other cars. I’ll see, you know, I guess.
The race is over now. biglaugh

I guess sadly the Red Bull still has quite a pace advantage in race trim.

No yellow flags and all cars finishing doesn’t happen often.

Could’ve been better but could’ve been an awful lot worse.

From lap 64….

Russell has done a poor job, after t1 l1 that is (maybe he put all his effort into that). Consider that he twice had the very favourable undercut/pitting earlier than his team mate (gaining about 3-4 seconds each time), and he’s still behind.

Has that raccoon ran across the track and taken Max out yet?

I think that's a bit of a mis-reading. I think it is quite a long time since we've had such close racing. If there were no DRS, we'd probably be talking about a whole series of epic battles.

A part of me wants F1 to keep the current chassis formula for 2026, but just drop DRS entirely, and see what happens. It is hard to see that fully shaking up the chassis regs is likely to result in closer racing.

Agree, we are just about starting to see a sort of level playing field and it's all going to be reset again which always leads to big gaps.

It's always the same, change the regs as the cars get closer on performance. It's been like this since the 70's

Nice to see Lewis back on the podium. Decent enough race considering no rain/SC etc.
