I've never considered this track as a "street circuit" as it has none of the boring characteristics of city roads being used as racetracks. I also don't consider Mt Panorama Bathurst to be a street circuit, despite being a public road.
Montreal to me goes in the same category as Melbourne or Miami, a “Park” circuit that’s temporary, but looks more like a racetrack than a random street layout they had to make work. Corners have kerbs more than barriers, and runoffs are tarmac or grass before the barriers. If McLaren and Ferrari are still very close, then it's genuine.
But as said above, it's likely to be a wet weekend anyway so we probably won't learn very much!
Well, the way that Red Bull doesn't like to ride the kerbs this one will be hard for them too.
At Montreal, you need to be able to ride the kerbs to get a good lap time and the Ferrari's and Mclaren's are better at this.
I'm hoping its a Ferrari Vs McLaren race with Leclerc coming out on top!

Have a one-minute video of five actual World Champions hitting the wall, three of whom did so in one year in 1999.

If Gasly is in front of Ocon at T1/T2 then I'd say odds on for Ocon starting the pinball smash!
Ocon has a 5 place grid penalty so there should be some distance between the two of them. Or Alpine could have another shocker and be at the back of the grid anyway, so the penalty won't have any affect.

Max will walk this one.
Take your pick of the McLaren and Ferraris order next.
I hope it rains just enough to not cause them to be sitting in the pits twiddling their thumbs, so we get something interesting.
I've been think the same about the weather (and tbh, Max walking it..)Take your pick of the McLaren and Ferraris order next.

The weather shows a 60% chance of rain every day Fri-Sun, and that prediction has only got worse over the last few days. There is also rain on Thursday and Monday, so even if the rain arrives earlier or later than predicted, it's still going to probably mean a constantly wet weekend.
I used to get excited for such a prospect, but these days they're so cautious. Also I imagine most if not all the teams will be petitioning for caution due to safety concerns - but really due to their cost cap concerns relating to wrecked cars..
We need just the right amount of rain - I reckon we'll get more than we want!
