FFS he’s at it again, ignoring what he is being told, Russell has a contract, Perez hasn’t

I just cant stand his voice anymore.

Tuning into practice and he just rambles about random improbable things, Every sentence confirming the fact he has no idea how anything works.

Croft - you fking childish knob; "Go on Ted get in the water, do something I wouldn't do so I can make you look stupid, lord it over you and generally abuse my position to embarrass you"

Oh the irony. Croft saying he knows what it's like to have loud voices in his ears.

"And Verstappen is in the pits" 10 seconds after the camera shows him driving round the track. Followed by "Oh and now he is track" FFS get a grip man you are supposed to be telling us what is happening!!

laugh

A bit like twelve angry men (Tony Hancock) I’m going to end up siding with him and defending him!

Croft has to stay!

I just watch with 'mute' on now, pretty much all of the time.

The cars sound st and Croft is an utter cretin.

He really has lost it, getting high and mighty about drivers swearing whilst out there risking life and limb, seemingly forgetting that FOM are the ones who choose what to broadcast.

Once again coming across like a sanctimonious prick, shame Di Resta and Davidson don't have the stones to tell him to go forth and multiply.

I don’t know where Sky is with it’s contract with F1 but I think there will be a wholesale clear out of their setup if they renew.

This was the point when my gf finally cracked and said “stop shouting!” at the TV.

The only actual useful info out of this was Martin squeezing in “he’s flying” somehow.

Glad I wasn't the only one to notice that, verbal diarrhoea in the end, pointless dialogue over an interesting part of the weekend, would have been a lot better if he just sat back and watched at that point as a real enthusiast would.

For me, all the great commentators (there have ever been) they know when to say precisely NOTHING ..

This is the answer, we can all see what is happening. They just need to only add a bit more, not keep talking all the time.

Too true.

They need to understand they are background 'music'. They can really add to the overall effect, but they can also destroy it (thinking the lord of the rings massively over used motif phrase for example)

Croft seems to think high volume and rate are vital to every slight incident or event.

But I also acknowlege, its probably quite hard to achieve the right balance.

We live about 30 miles from the circuit but could still hear Croft shouting through the commentary box window! The only hope is he gets laryngitus for the race tomorrow. Q3 was totally ruined by his incescent shouting. YOU DON'T HAVE TO SHOUT ALL THE BLOODY TIME MATE!!!
