but its ok if a btcc driver can overtake because he's got more boost than everyone else ?
I could spend all night arguing this and that but at the end you still will hate the btcc and I wont change my mind so bye bye.Anyway things are changing for next year that should make it a more professional series harsher penalties for contact and a different rules for entries here is a link

How about giving teams a limited number of test days depending on their position in the championship? i.e. Caterham/Marussia get unlimited days, mid-field teams get 5-10 days, top teams 1-2 days. That should close it up a bit.
And give all the drivers except Vettel some driving lessons
One problem, well two problems. And give all the drivers except Vettel some driving lessons
1. Caterham/Marussia probably don't have the cash to do lots of tests.
2. Due to their drivers being inexperienced, can they develop the car on these tests?

Not so in btcc the guy that's behind may have the same boost level or less than the car in front the fastest car in the btcc doesn't have the highest boost level.
You misunderstand.DRS gives the following driver an advantage - his car will be faster than the one in front for a short period of time.
In BTCC if one car gets a boost reduction and another an increase and that second car is behind the former he has an advantage that the guy in front can do absolutely nothing about.
As you say they keep tinkering with boost levels to control the performance of the cars to close the field up. DRS (sort of) does the same thing by promoting overtaking. I don't see how you can criticse F1 and not BTCC when ultimately they are trying to do the same thing.

What I think people really mean is 'vettel won again therefore it was dull, regardless of what actually happened in the race'.
Agree. I believe that, contrary to popular opinion, most people don't actually have a problem with Sebastien. His attitude and personality on camera is actually quite endearing. He has enthusiasm and knows he is having the time of his life. I think thats great.
Just because someone finds modern f1 less interesting than it could be, does not mean that they don't like how Seb is winning all the time. Stop conflating the two issues - you two do this all the time !
I have no problem with Seb at all. I do , however, have a problem with F1 rules that tip the sport toward endurance rather than racing, as do many people it seems. F1 can change this and IMO we should voice an opinion that they should.
I don't understand why you chaps want to be apologists for Bernie's show all the time. It is quite possible to enjoy F1 but also recognise that it could be much better than it is right now.
But f1 was only really a sprint series for a short period when we had the massively quick refuelling aspect.
I don't see how anyone can say that race was dull, there was a lot of interest for all the places below 1st. Hamilton's race, for example, was very interesting including his tussle with massa/hulk/ di resta.

That "tussle" lasted for only a few laps. I think I was making a cup of tea and missed it. While relatively interesting when they happen, the point is that these tussles are isolated events within a race that is generally a procession. F1 should have lots of these tussles, all through the grid, for a much greater percentage of the race. Fuel conservation and tyres prevent this, which is why these skirmishes only last a short time.

The problem is,these tussles are very short lived if the car behind is having to find a way to get past I.e not an easy overtake.I don't see how anyone can say that race was dull, there was a lot of interest for all the places below 1st. These moments are spoiled by radio calls telling the following driver to back off to save the tyres.
It's bks. I don't care if red bull benefit hugely from better tyres, I want to see drivers find their way past other cars without being told to back off or driving to a ridiculous delta to save tyres.
I'm not saying lets make tyres so durable every race becomes a 1 stop either, they have to be better than this. The tyre issue hfor me this year has been the thorn in the side for formula one. Every time a radio call is broadcast to save the tyres or warning a driver his ( insert tyre placement here ) is above target a bit of my viewing pleasure just dies.

What a boring race. I even had to skip large chunks of the highlights I was that bored. I used to love this sport, now I couldn't care less. :/
Before you go, what would make it good in your eyes ?
