Two drivers about to get a huge bking and probably the bill, imagine taking each other out , and at the front
Tea and biscuits with the team manager, with no tea and no biscuits. Threw away a big hatful of team points there, way too aggressive from them both after only two laps of 21.

The more replays I see I start to think the one that survived didn't need to cut the one on the inside off,

Mini deserves a penalty for that

A sad end to a great recovery drive for Montoya, the tiniest of contacts giving a puncture that took them both out.

You don't think once ge knew he was out he slammed the brakes on, locked up all four wheels and slid straight into Montoya

Mini punctured after their initial contact exiting the previous corner. Heavy braking and turning left when your front right tyre is flat doesn’t work.

Initial contact was a racing incident. Both could have given each other more room. Nine times out of ten the contact wouldn’t have caused a puncture.

The initial contact was 50/50, and once the inside car sustained a puncture the end result was inevitable.

F2 Sprint starts in a couple of minutes.

Antonelli going backwards today, his tyres look shot. It’s a hot day, and these tyres are going to be pretty marginal for the race distance.

Oh, and here come the track limits penalties.

Is that about eight penalties for track limits now? Miyata in 2nd place the most significant.

Correa might get a podium here, needs to get within 5s of Miyata though, which the commentators haven’t spotted. He’s half a second short at the start of the last lap.

Edit: Yes, he got it! Miyata had two penalties!

Who’s here for the Academy race?

Great result for three British drivers an hour ago, let’s see what Abbi can do from pole position.

Terrible start from Doriane Pin in 3rd, down to 13th.

Oh, and now we have a safety car for an accident further back.

Six laps of safety car, this is likely to be a lap short. It’s a 30m race +1 lap.

Great recovery drive from Doriane after getting bogged at the start.

Abbi woohoo

Great engineering from Doriane’s team, she did a qualifying last lap to move into Edgar’s penalty window.

Why did Dorian Pin start so far back ?
Thought she was the favourite this year - although she did make reasonable progress in the race.

She started well up but the car bogged at the start. She’s also recovering from injury and missed Le Mans last week, so might still be pretty sore.

She started 3rd, but bogged down at the start and was 13th at the first corner.

Race 1 highlights.
