Damn F2 is sooo good, and I'm not just talking about the last 2 laps. Usually I'm falling asleep on a Monaco race but I was wide awake on this one.

The spec cars, the tyres, the rules. Everything is spot on and has been for at least 10 years. Frequently the most entertaining racing in the world. Better even than BTCC, Indycar, ginetta juniors...

O’Sullivan with the mugging at the end, having gambled on not stopping hoping for a safety car, then got into the pit lane only a few seconds before it closed under VSC.
Brilliant bit of quick thinking, jumped 14 places

Hadjsr is hilarious
Not going to be a happy podium. hehe

Great race by Bearman.

I don’t know how I feel about that, yes thems the rules but that’s no way to win (or lose) a race

Hadjar really not a happy bunny, after the luck went against him.

Someone needs to remind him he only had a chance to win because of Verschoor‘s bad luck.

You play to the rules, it’s a perfectly valid strategy to go as long as possible and hope for a safety car.

Events being only a few seconds different from what transpired and it would have been a losing strategy, but when you qualify in the middle of the pack on a track where it’s notoriously difficult to pass, you have to do something different.

I’m not questioning the legalities, O’Sullivan & his team made the most of the situation & I applaud them for playing the game & winning (literally), but the technicalities, if you can be in 14th, come off the race track, be stationary for 30 odd seconds & come back on to the track faster than everyone else left on the track & into the lead that needs looking into

I echo these feeling accross all Formula that uses this system not just for this circumstance

i mean it really was just sheer luck and odds with the rule about it not counting as your pit stop if you stop during a virtual but get in just as one is called.
Hadjar i get how he feels but as said above the biggest robbing was vershoor have mechanical issues at monaco when in the lead and having taken pole.
However Vershoor is also in his FOURTH f2 season what hope does he see as getting further up the career ladder. No f1 team is going to take him on.

Cold tyres defo make it interesting having to get your tyres up to speed the difference between 4th Bearman and 7th Antonelli was their little scrap.

Hadjar more angry than Hamilton at AD 2021, but Hadjar was beaten fair and square. Not a good look.
Agreed, what an unlikeable individual.

The tin-tops were all remarkably well behaved today, in what’s usually a comedy race demonstrating the cars being too big for the track. A bit of rubbing and nudging, but nothing too bad and the safety car driver wasn’t needed.
