Dull as a dull thing. Thank God that a) it was only highlights and b) I'd recorded them, the joys of the fast forward button!

Now just imagine that race but with everyone on the same tyres, no DRS and no KERS. I feel fairly confident there might not have been a single overtake once the start was done and dusted with. And yet that's what some people want.

That's not the problem.

Watch other formulas, they don't have the same issues, ask why that is?

The fact that for so many the doughnuts were the highlight speaks volumes.

And the only reason everyone liked it was because it was possibly going against the FIA.

Wasn't it Ferrari who wanted the compound changed earlier in the season and pirelli warned them it would benefit RedBull?

It's a shame there isn't more mainstream coverage of GP2 / 3. Though a bit slow, they may add a bit more fizz to the racing.

Just watched the replay on the red button 5 mins of coverage to sum up the whole race best part was vettel at the end and the conversation with horner about this fine is yours this time.

Something drastically needs to change or im not watching not really been interested in the last few races and nothing has changed for this race.

What did you think of the fight for 5th thru 11th? I compared it to TOC's or Mat Jackson's typical charge thru the field in the reverse grid races in BTCC.

Except, mostly, they are driving as fast as they can in BTCC, not nursing tyres. 'Fight' is stretching it a bit.

No idea they showed 6 laps of the entire race pretty poor form from for the bbc. Exactly btcc is nothing but racing not nursing tyres or saving fuel flat out for the entire race after the first lap in f1 it's all about saving fuel and conserving tyres.
This is the reason why people are coming back to the btcc just for close exciting racing 5 champions should be on the grid next year entire grid of ngtc cars with bigger engines than f1 cars next year running 400bhp what more do you want.

Ah. I watched it on Sky. One thing F1 won't do next year is adjust boost or throw a safety car to spice up the action. Or introduce reverse grids. I like both formulae and have an interest that goes beyond the 'show'. From what I can see of your love of BTCC, you are cut from the same cloth. If you have never experienced a GP car in the flesh, I would be happy to give you a Friday ticket for the British GP for next year for free. Can't promise a Sunday one but will see what I can do smile

Exactly, BTCC is just a contrived clubmans series. Lets not pretend its anything else.
