Give yourself a round of applause.

Coulthard is surprised that it wasn't a grid drop.

Precedents have now been set, if you feel like it just drive into any car you feel like

Edit, I forgot to say without the risk of getting a penalty

Clearly I'm missing something! But what was the motivation to do such a thing?

They didn't both become insane for no reason.
Bloody hell Deuce, read the thread.

Both felt they were impeded.
rofl fair enough

I think that basic explanation is being rejected by my brain because it makes no sense to deliberately drive into someone in reaction to being impeded in a practice session!! I'm trying to understand why two drivers would act so bizarrely..

But let's bank that for after this rather tasty qualifying session smile

(Agree the reprimands were insufficient, shocking really)

Equally pathetic. The same driving in F3 would have resulted in far harsher penalties.

I do hope Hamilton teaches Leclerc some manners next year.

Give the FIA a round of WTF's.

What a message to send to all the junior formula drivers.

They should have a specific penalty for such behaviour. They could call it something like, 'Causing a Collision'. That'd show 'em.

Reprimand for Charles as well.

https://www.fia.com/sites/default/files/decision-d...

“The driver of Car 16 stated that he got impeded by Car 4 into Turn 5 and that upset him. He then had to abort his flying lap and contended that, while trying to get off the racing line before Turn 7, he misjudged the position of his car and made slight contact with Car 4.
“Irrespective of any possible intent, the Stewards consider the move made by Car 16, whilst not being dangerous, to be erratic”
Well that's a great big lie from Charles.

Unbelievable really, both LS and CLC deliberately made contact with other cars in what can only be described as a fit of petulance. Both warranted grid drops of some sort.

FIA really are a bunch of muppets. They must try and outdo themselves with crap decisions every race.

Norris on it. I know Q1 is not definitive, but that was a great lap.

Also, when they discover which team committed arson on the McLaren hospitality area, it'll just be a reprimand.

Four different makes in the top four places, less than 2.5 tenths between them.

Four different cars in the top four in Q1, setting up for one hell of a session. Seven drivers could get pole.
