Making sure there’s no spoilers but… just catching up with the F2 race. I’m really disappointed with formula racing’s apparent inability to just run races in the wet. Starting under safety car? There was minimal spray.
Put the drivers out there, let them deal with the conditions. That’s what the challenge is supposed to be.
It’s pathetic how often races or sessions are suspended or stopped by rain.

I understand what you mean but sitting here at the entry to Woodcote the visibility is bad. Put the drivers out there, let them deal with the conditions. That’s what the challenge is supposed to be.

I said that on the Le Mans thread and got totally shot down in flames. People saying that they can't be expected to race at speed in the rain....why not?Put the drivers out there, let them deal with the conditions. That’s what the challenge is supposed to be.

These guys are professional drivers, yes they have to drive slower but they should be able to drive in the rain? Most people don't stay in the house when it rains, they drive accordingly.
People mention the spray, how do cars etc cope, they have spray suppression, can't be that much of a stretch for the engineers to work this into the design for wet races.

Silverstone water drainage has been appalling since the two resurfacing jobs.
