Todt is angling for a job with Ferrari again, a sort of advisor... ??
I hadn’t heard that.Ferrari back at Le Mans in 2023. We know he can run an F1 team, successful (if dated) Le Mans experience……
Ross Brawn also leaving his role at the end of next year…
Not sure they’d go back to prominent (stressful) roles with Ferrari in F1, but Le Mans though. Yes please.

I thought Hamilton had some sort of CV19 passport/test/isolation issues which would have clashed with his appointment at Windsor Castle which is why he didn't attend the gala?
There must have been a fashionable "misunderstanding", as I am sure the mislaid RSVP to the FIA event would have explained the above. Probably lost in the post. Ooops... hot metal said:
Done some rallying, sorry, I couldn`t even be bothered to look him up, I knew of Jean Todt, I knew of Max Mosley ,how come suddenly there`s a nobody in charge, like there`s a nobody race director ?

Jeez, I don't know much about Bernie's private life, but I just assumed she must be a daughter. The question so what first attracted you to billionaire Bernie Ecclestone comes to mind. I wouldn't like to see Bernie involved again or his wife as I'm assuming their ideals align. He did a lot for the sport initially and then held it back for so long, not engaging with social media etc. All in the self interest of TV money.
Liberty media did more good in 5 years than Bernie did in his last 25 in charge

I knew F1 fans were becoming more and more insular but this thread takes the biscuit. People saying they have no idea who the new President is and assuming he must be corrupt etc etc.
How about getting out from under your rocks.

But of course PH would have preferred the other candidate ( you know the one with the British name) who’s practical experience in motor racing is the dizzy heights of Sports 2000.

Agree; absolutely depressing. Was the same on social media. He's been involved with the FiA for years, and before that was a multi time Middle East Rally champion; the bloke can drive cars fast. He's also got a good team around him, including Robert Reid, former co-driver for Richard Burns.....How about getting out from under your rocks.
Just do some research......

“You must have mislaid the invitation, similar to the Rule Book on lap 57” Sulayam is a good choice, but I am concerned about appointing a person from that region, mainly due to the fact that they are now using sport to wash away their bad practices in some areas of the Middle East, it has happened a lot in the last few years and this might also lead to more of it.
They know most people are easily convinced to forget the atrocities that still happen there, so people need to be vigilant to maintain pressure on people like Sulayam, a very western Arab, to force change if he can, but sport will ignore this and they just ALWAYS go where the money is without question, sadly.
