Got to be foreign. Preferably German or Dutch.

Can't see Russel getting the hate this year, I should imagine British tribal fans will be glad to see him win too.
He managed to spawn haters of his own last year. Was it not at Imola when he blamed Bottas for the crash and the alluded sense of entitlement caused by Russell's reaction.

You'll see a driver's true colours when wins and WDCs are on the line.

Is your 'tribe' 'pro-Verstappen' or purely 'Hamilton hatred'?
Someone has to stick up for "the other driver" the gang mentality on here is often quite remarkable. As is the hate towards CH. I respect Hamilton as a driver.

People need to stop riding to Jim’s predictable shtick, that’s a whole page of Hamilton talk now.

As this is the CH thread, what a censored he comes across as on DTS. I think that if I were an aspiring engineer, I’d send my CV to nine teams.

Now I’m sure he’s more measured in real life, and the team are okay to work for, but who would actually want to say they work for the guy?

“A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent” springs to mind.

Personified in this case by Christian Horner.

He certainly does come across as an absolute thunder. He appears to have a truly dreadful case of 'small man syndrome'. It's hard to believe he really is genuinely that spiteful, I wonder if the DTS editing has stitched him up a bit?

Not even slightly. Comes across as a smart, well measured, charismatic, strong leader with a cohesive and focused team all pulling together and delivering.

For clarification, I’ve met him IRL and he came across well, I’m not entirely convinced his persona isn’t a little bit magnified for the story.

But then he did leave his wife and child for Geri so there’s undoubtedly a ish streak to the bloke!

Ah, okay, I must have been high when I watched it, I will have another look.

Nope. He's still an insecure slimy thunder.

I'm wondering if he upset someone off at Netflix, perhaps influencing the very unflattering portrayal, but it's also possible he could actually be that much of an intolerable person for real.

I think what comes across most strongly is how difficult it is for him to cope with the success of Mercedes and in particular, Lewis and Toto. He seems completely unable to give even the slightest bit of credit to either, leading to the impression that CH is very insecure. It's weird because he and Red Bull have had a great deal of success of their own, so there is no apparent reason for his inability to deal with others' achievements.

I see some people on here and other places saying Toto is just as bad as Horner if not worse but I do not see it. In fact Toto comes across a lot better, hence Horner's "whingey spice" nicknames. For example, when Merc brought the new car this week, Horners first instincts were to start claiming it was illegal and breaking the rules, which he then tried to roll back on.

Moreover, he seemingly has come out with this statement in an upcoming interview

‘We are very different,’ Horner says about Mercedes rival Toto Wolff. ‘If I’m not at the racetrack, I’m in the factory. I’m not living as a tax exile in Monaco, running a team remotely.'

https://twitter.com/OllieHolt22/status/15026684827...

Whatever your thoughts about other team managers, I cannot think of any of them that would make that comment about their counterparts, which drives home the fact he's a bh. He really has it out for Toto/Merc for some reason.

Toro/Merc living in Horners head rent free.
Siege mentality… he uses any opportunity, interview, to paint them as bullies and cheats.
A few months ago, Horner was all fans have short memories, F1 needs to move on… he hasn’t moved on, he is still ploughing the same furrow he’s always done. bhing and moaning is his M.O. Renault, Mercedes, when RedBull win, lose… wingding all the way.
He has built a great team and is clearly very good at his job. Does he really need to run his mouth at every opportunity….

That is because he knows he can't beat the them fairly, even with the wunderkind driver (in his eyes at least) and Merc being nobbled by the regs at the start of last season, it still needed Masi to break the rules for them to win.

I think Toto comes across as having slightly more class and professionalism.

BUT that all being said, I have little doubt that no matter how badly anyone comes across on a reality TV show of any kind, they are not that bad..... I have heard some nice things about CH, by which I mean they make me think he is a kind human being.

Watching the end of episode 9 of DtS where Max had just been beaten at Jeddah, CH looks at what Toto is saying on a monitor and then calls says "F**king idiot, the guy has no f**king idea".

I understand rivalry between teams but calling another team manager a "f**king idiot" is just so unprofessional.
