Why no love for Albon’s fantastic overtake of 2 cars in one corner? Is it because he didn’t finish, and that he was taken out by Sainz when Alex was due to score multiple points?

It was superb, but commentators also said that he didn't have a choice for the second move.

I'd say that makes it more impressive. Under the circumstances it would have been easy to fluff it and hit either of the other cars.
Overtake of the race.

No, I'm afraid to any reasonable person, you sound like a bit of a plank..
I really don't think you are in a position to throw insults at other posters.
And yet..

I asked a reasonable question to another member that was complaining that LH always sounds whiney when asked why he had a bad day at the circuit - instead of a sensible answer I got something that I would term as 'plank-ish' nonsense.

At the same time, I was maintaining perfectly reasonable and worthwhile conversations with other members with no problems.. So long as that remains the case I'm very happy to continue to post as I do.
You really aren't in a position to claim any high ground. Another poster makes an observation and this is the kind of response you give.

Nothing childish about that, it was third time I had to explain the question, I made a joke out of that.

By the time we got to the fourth time he dodged the question, I realised I was dealing with a bit of a plank.

I responded to your observation entirely politely and in full, giving my reasoning did I not?

Overtake of the race.
Well forced overtake on Ricardo which meant he had to back off or lose his front wing there wasn't the gap for him to pull across and probably they would both have been out the race. Then Ocon just had to get out the way otherwise same.

Entertaining yes and nice to see overtaking, but great? Not so sure

Magnessun and Hulk made up so many places at the start being on the right tyres...

Quite amazing that Verstappen managed to put that car on the pole lap time. Did not expect it. A great race drive too.

Pirelli doesn't get a lot of props but the intermediate tyre must be very good, mustn't it. I was really surprised how far the drivers were able to take it.

Pity to have to wade through so much of the usual Hamilton bashing, especially since if you listen to his post-race interview he was extremely self-critical.

Do we know for sure that Red Bull's sudden fall back into the following pack isn't due to some technical amendment, clarification etc? I know they'll be properly on it in Spain, but the fact they've been in a battle for four race weekends on the trot now was inconceivable towards the beginning of the season.

Can you explain how he's supposed to give the information asked of him in a way that you wouldn't consider whining..?

I'm not asking you to confirm that you did, and have always felt he is whining, I'm asking you what changes LH could make to stop that unfortunate side effect of him answering questions.
How can Hamilton be less whiny, be being less whiny. Does that help you understand this very simple point?

It's funny though, he was the king of telling tall tyre stories only going out to set the fastest lap a few years ago wink

Or is it. A massive conspiracy rofl
But Max was saying his suspension was all locked up whilst setting fastest lap after fastest lap... or doesn't that count with your blinkers? Hamilton hasn't said it's a conspiracy, you seem to be pushing that under your own agenda
Carlo, think you missed this?

No, I'm afraid to any reasonable person, you sound like a bit of a plank.

The phrase 'superfan' shows how tribally minded you are, you seem to think everyone else is wired the same level of binary thinking.
At last; someone who thinks I'm reasonable.

Result.

Apparently it is super stiff which makes kerbs a challenge but at more traditional circuits it should excel. Also remember it is a different concept to the prior years.

Oh he didn’t miss it… all drivers moan when things aren’t going their way… Max moaning while winning!!! He’ll ignore the question. In his world Hamilton can do no right.

This circuit is pretty traditional in it's layout and type of corners though, and this season specifically the kerbs are next to none existent in most places, they re-surfaced the track without raising the kerbs so they're mostly lower now as a result - that really stood out to me watching the build up because I figured that would do RBR a favour!

No denying that in a few places the kerbs were still enough to make Max's car look extremely uncomfortable.. but I think he's going to encounter kerbs at least as aggressive pretty much everywhere.
