While they go around again, Bernie reminds me of Gary Anderson. He was part of the commentary team when I was watching in Ireland. Invaluable expertise, but a bit dull.

There’s several threads on here that rightly critisise Silverstone for various aspects of their organisation, but the one thing they do get right is free seating in the grandstands on Friday and Saturday - so that seating is always full all day.

Seems like max might be the slowest car of the top 6 at the moment. I guess not having DRS might account for that though. Great stuff so far.

He pulls out a .7s lead on the mclarens in the windy bits of the 3rd sector, then McLarens come back with DRS in the straights.
If he can break the 1s for DRS he will be off I expect

Norris making a mistake trying to pass Verstappen unfortunately spoiled the race as Piastri is nowhere near fast enough to challenge Max.

Is it just me or is the feed not showing live timings on the left hand side? I like to see the gaps etc seems a shame not to have it!

It's weird - they normally show them for a sprint race.

Perhaps some gremlins that also effected the start procedure.

Piastri is doing to Norris what verstappen did to norris earlier, he pulls out a gap just big enough that even with DRS, Norris cannot get quite close enough
