That's one interpretation but not the one I intended.
So the opposite and a micromanager? So Newey would not work for him then. Whereas I see Fred just letting him do what he wants to get a car done...

Autocratic, possibly unfriendly towards his staff.

He definitely has that air about him!

Is there any actual proof that Newey has had a tour of the facilities, reason I ask is I wouldn't be surprised if Stroll has had this info put out as a "rumour" to just benefit himself and his team?

There was a lot of clickbait about a 'secret' factory tour a while ago. I have no idea if it was true or not, but have my doubts. I think it’s a done deal and he’s off to Ferrari.

I don't think it needed to be a secret seeing as he was involved in the Valkyrie project?

Being logical... If AMR were prepared to offer Newey a factory tour, it would be very sensible for him to say yes even if he had intentions to go elsewhere.

What car designer wouldn't want to rummage through the competitions outfit!?

As such, true or not, it means nothing with regards to where he might end up imo.

I still think the Ferrari deal is informally done, seems odds on far more likely.

That’s convenient. What also happens in September?

The suggestion was that the design office at the factory were all told to stand down for an hour as Newey walked around, presumably so he couldn’t see anything on their screens.

I think he’s off to Ferrari too, but as a massive LH fan that’s what I want to happen so it’s easy to wish for it.

Why would Red Bull make a contract date reflect a Ferrari home race date?

That cannot be a coincidence.

He's going to Aston. If they have their way, to work with Newey.

Fairly sure AN/EJ said announcement would be after British GP. My guess is he will be celebrating with Red Bull at FOS next weekend announcement week after.

It was reported last week that he can't announce anything until at least September due to a clause in his Red Bull contract.

Cardile's move to Aston has been rumoured for a while.
