Come and stand over here. That's right, over the trap-door.

I wont totally dismiss this newey to AM story as EJ is involved ,and his measure of success is how much money you have.
I would thing you would want a mooch about the facilities of any team that wants you to join. Ferrari next then,if not already.
As for the wonderful open plan facilities at AM. Maybe not a good idea for someone like Newey.
The uk's idea of synergy is someone to grab the phone when the person you want is out to lunch lol.

DTS parodies the base-charaters to create the pantomime. While there may be truths within it, I hold what I view on DTS in careful distrust.
OOI what is DTS?

Joe Saward Implying they'll be a big announcement today - didn't mention what it was in relation to though.

He said last week that he thought Sainz to Williams could be announced here this weekend.

I'd say that qualifies as big news.

Cheating bd gets lifetime ban from F1, so obviously returns some years later as a TP..

Very early. I believe that is the unraced 639, which was used as the pre-season test car. The positioning of the Marlboro logo behind the driver's head gives it away, as it was lower down on the 640, and the engine cover is slightly lower exposing more of the roll hoop.

It is what, 9-10 weeks until Monza? Will that be the place of the announcement?

With honda going to AM it makes sense that AN would consider a move there.

Before Hamilton to Ferrari was confirmed, I always said it would not happen because of Ferrari's consistent inability to deliver. "He won't be taken in by promises of a championship winning car" I said.
Then when it was confirmed, I said "it can only be because they've told him Newey will be designing the car for 2026".

I still maintain that unless he KNOWS Newey is joining the team, it makes no sense to jump ship from Mercedes.

Obviously I know nothing, and have the record to prove it.

To be fair Mercedes had produced three dogs in a row so he had to make a change - he'd given them enough chances. Since RB was out that left Ferrari & McLaren as potential destinations.
