Would that come out of the cost capped budget ? So if you want to poach a superstar designer or team principal from another team, you can offer them as much as you can afford. Hence the rumours of LH being on $100m a year at Ferrari, and of Newey being offered $35m by the same team.

I think him going to Ferrari does at this stage have all the hallmarks of a VERY open secret. But the exact terms and remuneration..? Probably absolute b) was reported by one outlet.
