Not 2 much help, but 4WIW my father in law built a trailer (general duties) a few years ago, and he got the stub axles & wheels (complete with internal springs) from halfords, and made a frame from angle iron with a ball hitch welded on and plywood shell.

Hi Pablo,

I don't know if this might be suitable, but there's an Australian company which supply plans of off-road buggies you can build yourself. One of the plans they sell is for a trailer to carry your buggy on. It might be suitable for a go-kart as their buggies are fairly small (smaller than a car).

Check out www.git.com.au/~theedge/

Hope this helps. I ordered some plans from them for a buggy and they are very well produced with all the relevant drawings and cut-lists etc.

Regards
Tom

Also remembered some people have used the rear sub frame from a mini which includes all the suspension and incorporated this into a trailer. Maybe another option?

Get hold of a Caravan, junk the body and then start from there. www.loot.com should be able to get one for free, most people want the old shitty ones out the way.

I don't know if this helps, but when I lived in the UK (about 7 years ago) there was a company called Indespension based in Bolton (or thereabouts) who had everything you could ever want to build a trailer, even books on how to do it!
Hope this helps (and they still exist)
