Breakdown cover.
Discussion
Anyone know of a breakdown/recovery co that will cover me pretty much immeadiately?
We're just about to leave for a 300 mile trek to the Mothers for a long weekend and I've just looked at the insurance policy and I'm not covered. Rang them and they're saying they can for £70 but it will take 24hrs to process.
Now, I'm not one to normally worry about this sort of thing but A, I don't know the car that well (high mileage 55 plate Focus tdci) and B, I don't fancy waiting with my two young kids on the hard shoulder while I phone around my mates hoping one of them is at a loose end!
Any pointers gratefully received.

I'm not 100 sure, but I think both Green Flag and Kwik Fit recovery (which aren't even part of Kwik Fit any more) both offer immediate coverage. With the AA the roadside aspect is covered immediately but the relay bit is time barred to 24hrs to prevent people joining and then ringing up an hour later for a 300 mile recovery. To be honest it's rarely checked as the patrol just see's that you have roadside and relay on his screen so will just recover you anyway.
