I've had a Scirocco on a lease for two years nearly, they're coming to inspect it on Jan 11th, and to collect it on Jan 18th.

Fair wear and tear is mentioned, but what does that mean?

There's a kerbed (not too badly) wheel, and the spare has been used too. How closely will they look, what penalties could there be?

When I sent my car back it had a few stonechips but these were accepted as wear and tear. The alloy kerbed they will most likely charge for a refurb so £60 approx. If you have gone over the allowed mileage they will charge for this too.

Same as selling a car, give it a thorough wash and vacuum as presenting the car to make it look immaculate does help.

It's entirely possible they will charge you for a replacement alloy rather than a refurb.

Get the refurb done yourself. If you'd like a copy of the BVRLA fair wear and tear guidelines to which the lease company (and you) should adhere PM me and I'll forward you the pdf.
