New car - private plate

Hi All,

Just picked up a new (not brand new !) car for Mrs Ice.

The car has no tax and I want to get the private plate which is on retention onto the car.

So the car is under Mrs. Ice's name and the retention is also under her name.

Does Mrs. Ice need to come with me, to the local DVLA office or can I do everything for her?

I think icegirl has to be there,just to be safe.Other than that,straightforward i think.

As long as the paperwork is complete you don't need her to be there.

Also to get tax I need the insurance certificate?

Admiral has emailed me one but I can only print this on plain paper, will this cause any issues?

So we can get the V5 into our names and do the plate change at the same time?
