Waiting lists for new cars

A few years back (OK, 20 years back) there was much talk about e.g. a 6 year waiting list for Morgan's and a good few years for Testarossa's etc.

You never really hear this sort of thing these days. I realise the last 2 years (recession, etc) will have minimised this even more, but has anyone got any real examples of new cars where people are still spending over a year on a list first?

a new TVR .... some people have been on a "waiting list" for 5 years !!!

18 months now for a morgan

I waited 18 months IIRC for my '08 997 Turbo, some dealers were saying over 24 months wait.

That was however prior to the recession, and at the time slightly used examples were selling for hardly less than brand new ones.
