It's based on the Sprinter platform but made by a dealership in NY. Looks great and luxurious. What do you think?

It's still a van. You can try to polish a turd, but it'll still always just be a turd. horrible naff pikey wagon. van.

More legroom than a Maybach, but with that rear bench butted up against the back door its probably got less boot space, it won't be as fast either.

Stick a couple of extra seats in and use it for posh hen nights.

Very much. I've driven bands around in similar (admittedly nowhere near as plush, but roughly the same arrangement). It beats a people carrier or a crew cab hands down, and is brilliant when you are stopped somewhere like a ferry port as it has playstation, but as soon as you move away you become acutely aware of the fact that it is in fact a van. With a huge load of crap in the back.

IMO if you really want something like that, go and get a proper motorhome with a petrol V8 and rip the beds out, and then fit air suspension.

Yes it will; it's a Sprinter, the fastest vehicle known to man.

It's pretty cool inside, but not very classy turning up in a van!

It's a van, no matter how you spruce it up, it will still be a van.

In any case, all US market Sprinters get the 3.5 V6, which is pretty quick.

Looks okay but more photos are needed in order to make a full judgement.

What is it running? Engine transplant of sorts? And how much is it costing?

I think from memory that they can cost in excess of 800,000 usd.

Basically they are intended to be a low key vehicle from the outside but with state of the art interiors for various business people / celebs / etc...

They look less obvious than a RR or Maybach.

I guess the people that can afford these will have a collection or access to various other vehicles and these vans are designed to be low profile for various situations.

Hope this helps ?

Yes, it makes sense security-wise as far less likely to get any unwanted attention, compared to some.
Not my cup of tea though

Sorry but you are wrong there, that title is quite clearly held by the Astramax van although the Sprinter does run it close....

I know what you mean but I guess that where some of the clients travel these would have to be quite low key.
All sorts of security go into these vans which adds so much weight.

Eta some of these vehicles end up here for sale .
