Just sen this car on wheeler dealers.
What a little gem of a car 150bhp in what 600kg... Incredible and what a great looking car. However £16.7k strong money.

Buy it and love it.

I rebuilt an Elan +2 130/4 some years ago and, with a completely standard, carefully sorted engine, got 105bhp at the rear wheels; that felt quick, and not many were that powerful.

150bhp suggests some lumpy cams and a bit of extra compression, but I bet if it's been done well, it'll be a cracker!

Do you have any photos of the +2? when I was a kid my dad used to run these, I remember one in particular was a lovely car - blue with a silver roof 130/4.
