I was under the impression Adrian Flux specialised in insuring cars such as modified vehicles.

It appears they won't insure a driver under 25 on a modified vehicle here - not ideal.

Oh well.

Anyone else got the same experience?

Cheers

Depends on the Car and who insures the car as Flux are just the broker.

My modified MR2 turbo, they insured me and my girlfriend who is under 25.

Standard Civic Type R, would insure me but not my girlfriend (as she is under 25)

Evo 6, will insure both me and my girlfriend, despite her still being under 25.

Must be the car - no idea why though. I couldn't understand why they would insure my girlfriend on the two more powerfull cars, but not on the 200bhp Civic...

I used to use them all the time but they've gone right off over the last couple of years. I use a broker called Greenlight who seem quite good (for a supercharged Mk2 golf)

Problem is it's only temporary cover.

Thanks for the recommendation - will give them a bell anyway!

I'm 20 and have a Mini with lots of mods (main one being engine changed from 998 to 1293 and uprated brakes etc, etc) and didn't have a problem getting cover from them.

I have my track car with them (21 at start of policy) and was fine with that. Hope it will be the same this year.

I was told that they may be able to do temp insurance on modified cars aswell.

+1 for Greenlight. Have used them on two modified MINI Cooper S' since I was 22. Can't fault them smile
