I've got Vredstein Wintrac Extremes on all 4 wheels on the 123d. Yup the rears too.
I've also got a set on one of the Jags (Michelin Alpins).
They are good, and the difference with the 123d is tremendous. Before it had no grip at all and wouldn't move. Now it just goes, although there is some sliding.
The Jag was better in the snow from the outset, and I think the Alpins are more of a "snow" tyre than a "winter" tyre, so that does the job well.
A pleasant side effect is the fact that my mpg has increased dramatically, as I am having to quell my dalliances with the loud pedal. My wife wishes it would snow all year

Everyone knows you don't need Winters on the rear wheels of a 1 Series. Snow chains on the front, thats the way, have you not seen the pics? I've also got a set on one of the Jags (Michelin Alpins).

Two sets of winter tyres. Hope you voted twice!
