I think sh'ed really like to drive fast round a track but if they are not very good then it would be a let down...

I did this at donington before that all went belly up, and the single seater course was amazing, really worth it. Even though they are only little old 1600cc engines, and dont have the power of modern ones, the lightweight means they really shift. depends what she wants, but track was superb for me.

AKAIK they can be a bit hit and miss. I went along with a mate to a 'rally' one, which just ended up being a 205 driving round a field.

I did this http://www.yamando.de/erlebnisgeschenk/take_off_fl...

last Saturday, and if there's something like that in the UK I'd take it over a driving day and day of the week. Simply awsome and also not something you tend to do every day!

I got my wife a skid pan session at DriverSkills (http://www.driverskills.com/) last Christmas.

She went on it two weeks ago, when the airfield was covered in snow, and loved it. After having a minor crash in the snow last January, she didn't have the confidence to go out in any kind of inclement weather - learning the skills to correct a slide has boosted her a lot.

I had a skid pan one once which was an old Sierra with a Cossie engine and the outrigger wheels fitted.

On a wet airfield in Essex was great fun!!

Will the tracks be open in this weather though?
