Whilst ferrying my son to sledging locations, and irking everyone I overtook for some reason (not my fault they chose the wrong car and wrong tyres), I encountered a woman in a 1-series sideways across the road. People were already trying to push her but it was clear they weren't getting anywhere, so I stepped out to offer assistance.

Where was she going?... the gym..!! As "non-urgent" as my journey was, at least I was prepared for it. She clearly wasn't and wouldn't accept my offer of a lift to the gym, preferring to slip and slide all over the road. I offered to tow her up the hill but her boot was so full of crap (is it just women that do this?) that she couldn't get to her towing eye or to the manual (which I hoped would identify where the towing eye should screw in). Maybe not "couldn't" but certainly "couldn't be arsed".

At this point I gave up an left her to it.

And why *was* everyone else upset when I overtook them? I left plenty of room, didn't deviate from my line, didn't WHOOOSH past so fast that I'd wake them from their slumber? Was it simply that because *they* were having trouble, they automatically assumed no-one else could possibly be making progress better than they were?

Ha, LOL. biggrin

Must admit, when we're driving around in the wife's ML, it's hard not to look down on people as you look down on people. wink

As best as i can make out, they think it's an affront to their skills behind the wheel of a vehicle. Had to help one guy get out of our close back when we had snow. and despite being told to use second gear and low revs, he insisted that first and rev it was the way to go. So, after the third attempt to try and move him, i gave up and fked off

Of course the cameraman could have offered to help instead of just laughing at her

I really don't know who gets the stupid award there. If I saw a car driver less, in gear and pointed at my house I would have thrown the camera down and been running to stop it from unfolding.

I have been to the gym the last 7 days in a row, snow and ice on the ground, sorry but I would have been climbing the walls if i missed it for a week, essential to me - yes.

(I havent been stuck though)

Essential - No

Brain wired to NEED GYM - Yes

You could always go out for a walk/jog in the snow you know, see some actual scenery rather than the interior of Bannatyne's.
