I just stopped to ask if a lady in a black Peugeot 307 wanted some help as she was parked up on the side of hill in my village. Turns out she was swapping her immaculated fitted snow chains from the rear wheels to the front!

I cannot help but feel impressed that she was able to fit them, but restored my faith in the women, that she put them on the wrong wheels initially!

She was a little embarrassed about it, but saw the funny side as I did, so good on her!

I met several people who thought you put oil in the engine via the dip stick tube.

On older Beetles you undid the bonnet to fill up with fuel. One woman gasped when open bonnet revealed no engine!

My biggest winter fail thus far was yesterday; my girlfriend who told me her road was really slippery as i drove into it, driving along at 5mph and its all cool, I said to her this isn't bad at all as long as you take it easy. Try to turn the corner gently and the car just keeps going straight in slow motion, She's sat there with a smug look on her face. slut.
