Why don't people overtake BMWs on B roads?

I thought it maybe due to not knowing if the indicators would work on a BMW or not. That's why I hang back behind them anyway.

I have noticed that while driving the M5 people do actually pull over and let me past- I mean they will be driving along and suddenly just pull into the layby, I'll pass and they'll pull out behind me.

I've even pulled back to at least 10cm from their bumper and turned the full beam off!

Tailgating and then cutting in 2 inches from your car would be considered arrogant...
