Would you look right in it, though? Forgive me for stereotyping but surely you'd need to put on at least 60lbs and change your name to Biff?

Having had both, the vette will be a lot nimbler, faster and frugal. But if four seats mean a lot to you Monaros are great fun!

Duelling aircon does sound interesting though.

'vette without a doubt.

I've always been of the opinion that if you are going to be a bit silly, do it properly.

The Corvette is a sports car. The Monaro, while good (I nearly bought the Pontiac interpretation of the same car), is just a saloon car.

Buy a chest wig, get the Corvette although I have to say a C6 is where I would be putting my money.

I do prefer the Vette, but someone mentioned Monaro so I thought I'd take a look.

C6 would be great, but my budget dictates a C5 this time around.

It depends on what you want it for - they're two very different cars with a similar engine.

If you want an impractical sports car (which surely you have the TVR for?) then get the Vette

If you want something more practical (which surely you have the Merc for?) then get the Monaro.

Personally, I'd get an E39 M5....biggrin

Hmmm, corvette-left hooker, or a monaro-right hooker which one?? If it was me,i would go for the monaro overt he vette. i do like vette's, but having to take somebody with me everytime i wanted to use a car park with barriers, or go through a drive through would be a massive ball ache

Can you just browse and chat on the forums whenever you get bored at work?

Just wondering which of two ways it goes:

1) There's not a chance of you getting away with loafing on forums because you work on Pistonheads - they're bound to spot you!

2) It's actively encouraged in the name of helping the community along... Hence you can spend 5 hours on here browsing silly threads (like wot I do) without fear of your editor popping up and shouting!

Sorry, off topic but I'm curious.
Best,

Philip

Vette, no question. Far more drama but in a good way.

Obviously I have proper work to do, but I'm free to do as I please really. Anyway, part of my job is to monitor the forums and see what's going on out there.

That Vette does look good, but the 98 has no heads up display & the basic cart wheel alloys.

WRT to the left hooker/drive through conundrum....
Could you simply reverse through? Obviously it's quite tight and totally impractical, but bound to raise a chuckle. Also it would be easier to maintain a steely glare at the bun operative/bun construction chief or whatever their name is nowadays when they inevitably cock up your order.

Just a thought like.

Very true. As I mentioned earlier, the Vette is the first choice, but I thought I'd look at the Vauxhalls after it was suggested that I do so.

If I do take the plunge, one of my current cars will have to make way.
