Which one ?

Hi all need help in deciding which car for my daughter....the choice is a Fiat 500 (1.2)08 or Beetle cabriolet (1.4) 54 i know nothing about these cars so any advice would help,she's 20 and been driving since 17 thanks in advance.

Get her to drive both and see which she prefers.

Suspect the Fiat is more chuckable (although has horrid light steering), so more fun to drive. But a vert of any kind will be more fun to be in and be seen in.

If shes not so fussed about B road blasting then I'd say it's an easy win for the VW.

I would tend to agree with 300bhp.

If she wants something entertaining to drive, the Fiat is certainly better. If she doesn't, the Beetle probably does most things better; the mk4 Golf wasn't a bad car, just a dull one. There's more space in the front of a Beetle than the Fiat, and probably similar in the back. The Beetle's boot is probably a bit bigger but it's nowhere near as versatile as a hatchback.
