Just watching this at the moment - for those who don't know, Penn and Teller do a show where they take a subject, and prove it to be "bullsh*t". They seem to get a lot of the facts spot on, from when I see an episode which covers a specific area that I know about - but either way its pretty amusing TV for the background!

Anyway, this one is on how disabled parking is bullst.

They are showing a civilian woman, who is wondering around car parks, taking photos of cars who are parking in disabled bays (without the right signage), and sending the photos off to the local enforcement office.

Most of the people that see her come out and have a go at her - even though they are clearly in the wrong (one guy parked his car sideways across 3 disabled spaces, despite there being loads of spaces free in the background!)

So would you applaud someone doing this in their own free time (assuming that a photo from a civ would carry weight in the local council offices = people would get done), or would you think this is a bit off....

Curious to know - personally I think it is good for the total bellends that just cannot park properly, but being that there are some here that think nothing of parking across two spaces, it should be interesting to find out!

I would say well done to her, assuming she isn't damaging the cars or whatever. But then I think traffic wardens are a good thing too...

Wonder what "local enforcement office" she is sending these photos to?

Disabled parking bays in private car parks (usually) have absolutely no legal standing whatsoever.

Maybe instead of the girl just taking photos, Penn and Teller should be on site to make the cars disapear biggrin

I'm confused. What conclusion did P&T draw from the ladies, community spirited if ultimately not going to change anything, actions.

O/T slightly, someone I worked with parked his car in the disabled bay at a McDonalds. Said something, but felt embaressed getting out of it. I honestly, didn't care if he'd got clamped.
