From BBC Newsbeat:

Top Gear is still deciding whether a replacement Stig will be used in the new series, presenter Jeremy Clarkson has revealed.

"We don't know what to do," he said, speaking to Chris Moyles on Radio 1.

"Eventually a suggestion will come in and we'll say, 'Well that's a good idea' so we'll do that," he continued.

So, suggestions from PH?

My vote is for a Stiglette in pink.

S'pecially if she squeals like VBH wobble

They've already employed one - so I imagine it's fairly certain.

Get that Irish boke and Andrew Lloyd Webber to start a show called........

"How do you solve a problem like the Stig".

Get a bunch of drivers to take Sir Andrew around the test track and the one who makes him die of a heart attack (putting the rest of the world out of his les miserables) wins.

I can't see them dropping 'The Stig' brand at all. It's such a marketing winner.

Finding a racing driver with personality is difficult. Marcus Gronholm would be a good shout, but when you try to find a racing driver with personality to talk to the camera you end up with a charismaless tt like Jason Plato!

Not a fan then?? He seems pretty good on TV. Liked his honest Westfield review and he took his challenge with Coulthard pretty seriously. 'Custard-Gate' on here was a laugh.

We've not done movies and chocolates so I can't comment on his charm and charisma but seems a decent bloke. smile

I have to remain I mean the Stig has to remain unbias so his identity is kept secret to stop companies bribing me err him/her to drive other cars a little bit slower to make there's look good. wink

Gosh I sound miserable but I really don't care!

Let's just see the presenters drive the cars and if they want a 'hand' just get in a ex-racer who actually talks.

Bring back Chris Goffey and Willy Wollard I say.

Although Pettar Solberg is still busy with his rally career, he would be an excellent driver with a good camera personality, who could be exciting to watch. However, the anonymity of the Stig is still a strong part of the Top Gear heritage, it could be risky to hire a driver who gives an opinion.
