Insurance for track cars...

I am having problems getting a 'sensible' insurance quote for my track prepared Porsche 944 (2.5 '85)... modifications have been for safety only - i.e. strip out interior and fit rollcage. Even 'ol' faithful' Competition Car Insurance have come back with a four figure estimate!
Open to all suggestions (really hot tip will 'win' you an on track drive!), especially any insurers willing to waive excessive premiums for stickers on our cars (2 track 944s & 3 race 911s all supported by Falken)!!
