These are fantastic, I love the Batmobile one, the Kei-van pink one with the bed in the back. Fantastic.

These are more Japenese Fighting Fish than they are vehicle - Are they actually allowed to drive those things on the road?

I read the thread and apparently, albeit amazingly, they are legal.

Perhaps it's the lack of space in the large cities that makes people do silly things, a bit like the Nordic region and the lack of daylight in Winter?

I think its the fact the Japanese society is very conformist and conservative - which means that when people need a 'release' they go totally bonkers.

Kind of, a 'Bi-polar' society I guess?

ETA - Note the slogan on the Batvan - 'Welcome to a world without rules' . Says it all?

Seen these before. I love them. In fact if you live in Torquay, up near the Holiday park (forget the name) past the shopping centre with M&S in, there's a purple one outside someones house. Albeit not quite as mental as these ones. It just has the big spoiler.

Oh, and to the esrlier poster. Speedbumps are apparently super rare.
