Hi,

I have just come back from a holiday in Gran Canaria. We stayed at the Hilton Hotel in East Midlands. The morning of the flight I came out of the hotel and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw A gorgeous Bugatti Veyron parked outside with the Reg No BUG1. Out came my phone and I snapped some photo's, which I have to share with you. Enjoy.

Mark

Welcome. Wonder if it was a press/demo car, given the 'plate?

Not the best colour combination in my opinion. Are there not legality issues over chrome paint/wrap.

Don't like clampers but that guy is asking for it.

You sure it's a wrap and not a Pur Sang?

It was Hilton Hotel about 15 mins from East Mids airport. I asked the driver who took us to the airport who's car it was. He said he didn't know but it was often parked there. Its actually in the Hiltons own car park so I would say they've given their permission for him to park on the yellows. I wouldn't park it in a bay either. Would it fit in one?

This particular Veyron is in fact a genuine Pur Sang Edition. I spoke to the owners of 'BUG 1' earlier this year at a Bugatti event. Down to earth bloke, also owns (to my knowledge) another 'standard' Veyron (BUG II), Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead and a stunning 300SL Mercedes re-creation (by Mercedes themselves) based upon an SL55 AMG which was previously owned by the Sultan of Brunei.

Nice spot and welcome to Pistonheads!! smile

Here is a pic I took of this particular Veyron along with the other Bug:

I prefer the standard one TBH, looks good in that colour combo (not something I say about most veyrons, although I appreciate the car and technology and engineering the shape doesn't do a lot for me....)

It's not the most radical of car designs but I really am a fan of the overall tidy shape of it. Rather subtle in spite of the immense performance it is capable of.

Welcome smile

Very good spot! Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang; I saw the same one at Prescott Hill Climb last year as I'm sure many of us on here did too.

You're right it's a Pur Sang and the owner owns both BUG 1 and BUG 11.
The Drophead you're referring to; is it the black one with chrome RR wheels? The 08 one at the Prescott Hill Climb?

Yes, that is right. I remember he pulled up in it and parked it right among the old Type 35s etc.
Didn't blend in at all!!
