These phones have a fault with the screen as some of you know.

Simple Fix: Take the cover off, loosen the four small screws that hold the screen in place and thats it.

It fixed my unstable screen 100% and is free.

How do you fix:

1) The vibration alert when last time it actually worked, it bloody nearly shook the phone to pieces

2) A complete refusal to ring at all if it can't identify the caller's ID?

3) A complete dislike of trains (it turns itself off everytime i get onto a train - thankfully, that's not too often)

4) Having to take the phone to a repair centre (my service provider nor nokia will pick the phone up, despite the fact they were happy enough to deliver it to me) only to be told there is nothing wrong with the phone, even after having clearly demonstrated most of the problems with the phone in the repair centre

Hi GTIR

So you're sugestting that making it looser solves the problem of disappearing or twisting image? So why does that happen only after some hours of use?

And where the hell will I find this screwdriver?

Thanks for the tip! I will surelly try do fix it like that because it has been almost impossible to use it these last days!

Er dunno, but be...

I used a swiss army knife pliers to undo the screws, and yes it has worked for me although it didint work for my friend. Just try it.

Any decent hardware store should stock small torx drivers. Not that I don't mean B&Q by this. I mean somewhere slighly shabby crammed with all sorts of obscure but devillishly useful stuff. MacKay's in Cambridge for example.

FYI I found a new screen and torx driver for about £17 on ebay, there are a quite few people flogging the bits, took about 3 day to arrive and fixed mine! type nokia 8210 in the search
