Hi All,

Does any one have any experience of a company that will do a 3 month car hire/lease but perhaps something a little more special than the usual Fiesta/Corsa etc. I'm thinking Mini/Mito/A1 etc.
Need a second car short term to get through Winter. Also need it to look decent enough to inspire potential client confidence in a new business venture.
Or am I just pissing money away...and should I get a second hand Beemer/Merc/Jag for £4000? Hmm.....

Thoughts welcome,thanks.

I had a look at a three month lease - nothing available.
Then looked at a three month hire. Worked out I would have paid for the car outright if I'd kept it for a couple more months after that!

If you Google short term leasing there are plenty of hits - are the offers not real? (wouldn't surprise me)

If you want the flexible use of a car for 3 months it is going to cost more than if you sign up for 3 years. My business supplies over 1000 cars every year on short term flexible contracts, the costs per month are higher than long term contracts as we have a shorter time to depreciate the assets and their are dead utilisation times between leases.

However the costs are lower than long term car hire, the cars supplied are all new or nearly new (less than 12 months) and you are not tied into a long term commitment nor will you have to worry about high maintenance costs.

Most of our cars are volume type cars i.e. Focus, Astra, Clio, 308 etc however we sometimes have more sporty / upmarket cars such as Mini's, Range Rovers, Golf GTi's etc.

A Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8 would be £2675 PCM + VAT for 3 months. You would pay monthly in advance plus 1 month to be held as a deposit.1200 miles per month are included and higher mileages can be arranged.

Their are a few identity and credit checks we need to carry out and you would need to provide a copy of your insurance policy that will cover the car - we do not supply insurance but can put you in touch with people that do.

Volvo XC90 and XC60's are much better value and they range from £695 PCM + VAT to £895 PCM + VAT. These include 200 miles PCM. same terms as above.

Too nice a car too early in your business may put people off rather than inspire, especially if your prices appear to be higher than average to cover the flash car.
