I've just bought Ferrari 355 (haven't taken delivery yet) and am in the process of selling my TVR. The problem I have is that I need the 2 cars insured at the same time for a short period until I sell the TVR. Obviously with only one set of no claims bonus it makes it prohibitive to insure both. Does anyone know of a way around this or if its possible to get cover for a car being off the road - I was told this was not possible with a Ferrari!

I'm not sure, but i'd guess you'd do as well to take out an "any vehicle" policy. I.e. you insure yourself to drive any vehicle fully comp.

A friend had a similiar policy for motor trading - providing a car was registered in his name, he was fully insured.

Most insurance companies should offer a scheme where your second car is insured until it is sold. Obvious restrictions apply.

I am insured with these guys, Just Insurance: 01442 231722, ask for Ben Taylor and mention my name. They offered to cover my car whilst I was waiting to sell it.

When I picked up the TVR we had a few cars on the road. What I did was speak to my insurer and they added the TVR to to policy of another car for 15GBP a week until I'd found the best TVR policy. This allowed me to drive both cars on one policy full-comp even if both were bring used on the same day.
Might be a short term soultion?
