Has anyone been on a car control type course near or in the West Midlands? Even better if there is a 'high performance' element, like slalom courses, skid cars, the type of stuff that was on drivel tonight, but at more speed (and without Penny Mallory)...
any info would be appreciated, as I've done the IAM test and want to take it that next stage further....
cheers

I'm in the same boat. The bloke from Goodwood skid-pan is coming to talk to my local IAM in a couple of weeks - so I guess they're still running something? I'll let you know once I've seen him.
casdtle combe do a good one. they let you loose in a old 3 series beemer and a rover so you get both fwd and rwd. looks good fun. most people highly rate the don palmer driving development days and say the tuition is top notch. havent any experience of either persoanlly but friends say they are both worth it. Castle combe is about 50 and Don Pallmer charges about £100 IIRC
Don Palmer is very good (although he'll charge more than £100) Combe does a skid pan course - or you can ask Hugh from www.cadence.uk.com/ who will tailor a day to your requirements.
