Range Rover / Other 4x4 Info
Discussion
My cousin has been bullied into looking at Large 4x4s by the missus. He's after a car for either:
(a) a few months including a LONG trip to France and approx 3,000 miles
or
(b) keeps.
He's looking at the £2,000-£4,000 range to keep depreciation down to a minimum.
He's already been offered a Range Rover '88 E for £2500 (including a 2-day "test-drive") by a mate.
Does anyone have any recommendations/web-sites/forums/bbs etc. on Range Rovers, Shoguns or similar where he can get info on Problems, things to look out for, buying tips, warranties, or reliable dealers who may trade vehicles of this sort of age?
Many thanks
Nick

£2,500 sounds a bit expensive unless it is something special and ultra low mileage. Been looking at '92 3.9 Vogue SE for £4k recently with 50 - 80k miles. I've had both a '91 3.9 petrol (old shape) and a 2.5 Diesel DSE new shape - made my Chimp look cheap to run !!
Good luck !
