Click on your photo in Fotango then look for the option for "Get Link To This Picture" (ish). It will then give you a link above photo, copy and paste into PH. Simple. You can also post them in notes (cheers Ted)

Simon,
I share your frustration, but for different reasons! All the car photographs in my profile were 'borrowed' from various websites. The borrowed photos were the nearest look-alike I could find - better than nothing, I thought.
There was bound to be a backlash though, because the pics were almost certainly someone else's copyright. I was naturally reluctant to get myself - or Ted - into trouble, so I had my own photographs scanned, and I now have a number of them on disc.
If I could get these into my profile I would take the risk of 'borrowing' pics of the cars which were never photographed - with my own photos in the majority I could at least say that I had done my best!
But, and it's a very big but, I don't like to see a dirty great Fandangologo printed across the picture of a much-loved car, and I have no idea how you go about avoiding this.
To get to the point (and about time too!) many of the PistonHead community are involved in IT, and the one thing an IT person cannot do is write simple instructions for simple people.
I know this because I've had to do it myself, with business thingys I produced back in the glorious (!) days of DOS. Writing clear instructions is almost impossible, and to do it successfully you have to forget every single thing you know about computers.
So I'm afraid my photos will never appear, despite 20 years of messing about on the surface of this crazy technology. I wish you better luck Simon!

McNab. If you want your photos to appear you can send them to me. I'll then send you a link you can point your PH profile at. e-mail me via my profile.
I run an IT company and have some web space I can use for the purpose - for such a senior member of the PH community, at least.
No inundations with requests for space...sorry....

Guys,
I have the space and am putting the building blocks in place to allow you to upload pictures to the site.
There are a few technical issues I need to experiment with in regard to the management of pics, which is why the facility isn't public yet. If anyone has objections/difficulties with Fotango just drop me a line with your pictures and I'll bung them in a gallery for you here.
Regards,
Ted

I'll send piccies of my 350i and Chimaera then if I may Ted, cause the Damn Fotango site seems to only hold them for a day, then the photos disappear outta my album.
Bought a scanner just for this purpose and could't get the damn fotango gubbins to work
Success at last! Bloody machine! New fangled technology! Wasn't it Bonnie Prince Charlie who watched that spider, and I have come to the same conclusion, Persiverance eventually pays off. All those who have absoluteuly no idea what a Lotus Elite looks like, can now check mine out!!!!!
