Do you remember when cars were the star on TV and a car was always written into the storyline?

Sadly those days seem to be gone but I was having a reminisce searching Google and decided to share, but I'm struggling to think of any modern TV programme that has a car at the centre of the action?

A Team

The Saint

Dukes of Hazzard

Magnum PI

Starskey & Hutch

The Fall Guy

The Sweeney

Minder

Errr CHiPs

Morse

Ahem:

Great days. Probably not encouraged now because of eco-ninnies. Either that or the star would be a Pious or something.

Earl's Camino?

Also, I noticed Monarch of the Glen pays special attention to only including brit cars and bikes.

Actually, I think Brian from Family Guy drives a Prius:

One of these feature quite prominently in CSI.

and they seem to make regular use of modern american muscle cars but it is the only show I can think of still doing this.

ETA:

Entourage, features a lot of different cars like these but only the Aston on a consitent basis.

It's hard isn't it? I really wish there was some more decent cars on TV. What about some more oldies? I'm struggling here.

There were bikes too biggrin

I often watch The A-Team, The Dukes of Hazzard and Knight Rider on Sky. They were my favourite programmes as a child and still make me laugh.

But I watched Streethawk a little while back and swear that I don't remember it being quite that woefully poor hehe
